Financial Consulting For Your Family’s Sake

There is a whole world out there that many of us know nothing about, namely financial consulting. Many of us would probably be happier knowing nothing about it too, but unfortunately, it’s rather like vegetables, we don’t like them, but they are good for us! It is actually a good move to consider financial consulting either for your business, or for your own personal financial affairs, and to do this in a timely manner, meaning before you retire. We shall take a look here at what to expect from financial consulting.

As you would probably expect, there are any number of financial consulting companies to choose from, which is good, but how do you know which one to choose? This is where the internet becomes useful.

It doesn’t take long to find the financial consulting that is offered in your area, and you can then browse the websites to find one that feels and looks good to you. Consider what stage of life you are at.

Are you looking for retirement planning, or are you more interested in setting up an education fund for your children? Do you need help with income tax planning, or do you have divorce settlement issues that need dealing with? Perhaps you wish to make some charitable donations, or maybe it’s estate planning that you need? Or maybe you just don’t know what you need. A good financial consulting employee will be able to tell you about all the options that are available for you at this time, and what the pros and cons are for each option, because there are always pros and cons!

Before meeting with a financial consulting expert, you need to take a look at your finances, to see if you can get a good idea yourself ahead of time of what you can afford to invest, if this is the main reason you are seeking help. The expert will be able to guide you through by asking questions about your particular financial situation, so the more you are able to tell them, the more accurately they will be able to advise. If you are unsure about what they are saying, do not feel embarrassed to ask for clarification. That is why they are there, and you need to be able to ask questions. After all, it is your future that you are discussing, so you must know how it is going to affect you and your family.

How to Stop Foreclosure - Loan Modification is the Fast Way

Applying for a loan modification in order to stop your home from going into foreclosure can be a lengthy and involved process. The negotiations aren’t always smooth and they take up precious time you need in order to avoid foreclosure and get yourself back in the clear.

Your modification request should include a carefully outlined plan that explains to the bank how having your mortgage repayments reduced is going to help you get out of your current financial mess and help you put it back on track again. The bank will ask to see your income details to verify that your income really isn’t sufficient to fix your finances without immediate help.

While you might be able to learn quite a bit of information about writing an effective loan modification letter, remembering all the right things to say and exactly how to word it for just the right positive effect from the bank’s assessor, you’re still just one person.

There are loan modification companies who submit hundreds of modification requests to the banks every day. These bulk applications and submissions are handled by different assessors, as they know they’ve already received professional assistance from professionals who know precisely how to handle just these types of requests.

So if you need fast help to get your loan modified so you can stop foreclosure, perhaps consider contacting a professional to help you save your family’s home. A trusted and seasoned loan modification counselor is worth the time and the money you spend with.

Decorating Your Dinner Table For Valentines Day

The most important thing to keep in mind while decorating a dinner table is to create a romantic and cozy feeling. The table setting should be arranged for two people as the day is celebrated as couples. Fill the air with love by decorating an intimate dinner table. To get started, place to chairs in the opposite ends of the table. A card table will be a perfect choice because it is small and the distance between the lovers will be minimal. The person should be able to reach to the other end of the table. Use a smooth and crisp tablecloth that is white or red, you can find it in a linen closet. The main motive behind the cloth is that it should cover the whole table and must touch the floor.

The next thing to do for building a valentine table is to fix the table with the best and finest china dishes. If you don’t have any, then use whatever is available. Mixing the dishes that have matching patterns is a good option. Place some plates on top of the other and make a pair of goblets and wine glass. Use forks, spoon and knives that is silver and those which are matching while decorating the table.

The centerpiece should be very simple and has to be romantic. If you decide to put flowers as centerpiece then use some fresh flowers with long stem and place it in a glass vase which is small and crystal clear. Flowers like rose and carnations with pastel colour are very romantic and are great centerpieces. You can also use a potted plant with flowers; tie a red ribbon around the flower pot. The next step is to find some napkins. Napkins can be of any colour but keep in mind that all the napkins match. The napkins should be folded into thirds and laid on the top of the plates. There are different ways to fold a napkin. Every napkin should be tied up with ribbons and it should form a bow. Under each ribbon a flower can be placed. Buy some rose petals and spread them all over the dining table. This will help in giving a pleasant scent around the table.

A bottle of wine should be placed on the table along with a box of fancy chocolates. Finally light a candle near the centerpiece and play a romantic song.

Low Carb Recipes

A low carb recipe is a great way to practice healthy eating lifestyle and diet. A low carb dish is not necessarily for those who are on a diet or want to lose their weight. A low carb lifestyle can and should be adopted by all. The advantages of a low carb balanced diet is that it has all the necessary nutrients minus the unhealthy fats. A low carb meal can be had from a choice of almost any kind of dish.

Any dish you wish can be converted into low carb by modifying a few ingredients. For example milk can be replaced by low-fat milk, yoghurt can be replaced by low-fat yoghurt, sugar can be replaced by sugar free pills, and so and so forth. And you can replace lot of daily food items you consume such as instead of white bread, go for whole wheat bread. Instead of white rice, go for brown rice when making chinese dishes.

There are many more ingredients that you can replace and reduce the fat level, sugar level and carb level of the dish thereby reducing the calories you consume and at the same time increasing the nutrients you consume. A little knowledge on what to avoid and what to eat will go a long way.

Another essential thing one should realize is there’s no such thing as low carb junk food. Junk food is junk food, be it high in carbs or low. It doesn’t do much good to your body and your health. So it is wise to reduce or remove junk food entirely from one’s meals.

So be knowledgeable about what you eat and be wise. Be healthy!

Sanyo RL4930 (Sprint) Review

Now that Sprint has absorbed Nextel, the carrier’s Ready Link phones seem to be suffering from an identity crisis. Before the merger, the handsets were sort of Nextel-lite. You could get push-to-talk service and a rugged handset, but you didn’t have to lug around a brick, totally devoid of style, and you didn’t have to be chained to Nextel’s businesscentric services. But now that Nextel and Sprint have joined forces, and Nextel is putting out smaller, more attractive phones, Sprint’s Ready Link handsets just look a little ridiculous. Take the new Sanyo RL4930: Although it is on the bulky side, as well as sports rubber edges and PTT capability, we’d rather go with the real thing and just get a Nextel phone, such as the i355. The RL4930 is $189, but it’s cheaper with a service plan.

To be perfectly frank, the Sanyo RL4930 is not a looker. A dull candy bar shape, along with a basic-gray color scheme and a protruding antenna, makes it more like a cordless phone than a mobile device. Also, considering it measures 4.5 by 2 by 1 inches and weighs 4.4 ounces, it’s not compact by any means. On the upside, a rubber coating on either spine adds a touch of durability, but the extendable antenna is rather flimsy.

The Sanyo RL4930’s 65,000-color display measures 1.6 inches (128×112 pixels) and is the best thing about the handset’s design. Although its overall resolution is a bit washed out, it’s nonetheless fine for viewing the user-friendly menus. You can adjust the contrast, the font size, and the backlighting time, but you can’t alter the brightness.

Below the Sanyo RL4930’s display are the main navigation controls with a standard Sanyo design. There’s a five-way toggle that acts as a shortcut to messaging, and the phone book has a menu where you can program more shortcuts, as well as a My Content folder for storing games and other downloaded files. The toggle is large enough, but the other navigation controls may trouble users with larger fingers. Two soft keys, dedicated Web and Back buttons, and the Talk and End/power keys are all much too small. However, we liked the fact that the Back buttons double as a key lock if held down and that there’s a dedicated speakerphone button below the keypad. Speaking of the keypad, the buttons are raised just above the surface of the phone, which made it easy to dial by feel. They’re also decently sized and lit by a green backlighting. The only controls on the outside of the phone are the Ready Link button and a wide volume rocker on the left spine.

Classic cars worth $106,000 stolen in Loudon County

Three vintage cars with a combined value of more than $106,000 were stolen early Thursday morning from a classic car lot in Loudon County, authorities said.

The break-in at Smoky Mountain Traders, 11840 U.S. Highway 321, took place about 5 a.m. when a group of thieves disabled the gate and drove the vehicles off the lot, according to Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Detective Charlie Cosner.

“It took about a minute or less,” Cosner said.

The cars were described as an orange and white 1972 Pontiac GTO Judge convertible, a red and black 1971 Chevelle Super Sport convertible, and a red and white 1972 Super Sport Chevelle, said business owner Keith Bledsoe.

“I’m sure they loaded them into an enclosed car trailer after they drove them off,” Bledsoe said. “I’m hoping that someone was on U.S. 321 (Thursday) morning and saw something.”

Bledsoe said he used to build houses for a living but decided to open the car lot in May when the construction industry slowed. “I put my life savings into these old cars,” he said.

Bledsoe said he was able to determine the time of the break-in using a security camera but it was too early to say whether the camera’s images will be useful in identifying the three suspects.

He is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the cars and the convictions of those responsible for the thefts.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to the Sheriff’s Office at 865-986-4823 or the business at 865-988-8088.

J.J. Stambaugh may be reached at 865-342-6307.

How To Lose 60 Pounds in 3 Months

In order to lose 60 pounds in 3 months you will need to shock your body into losing a lot of weight fast. Just so you know, to lose 60 pounds in 3 months isn’t the easiest thing in the world and will require you to commit to this process heart and soul. However, with the right will and determination, it can be done.

In order to lose 60 pounds in 3 months, I suggest that you begin by cleansing your body. What this does is get rid of a lot of undigested pounds which have accumulated inside your body and which are weighing it down and damaging your health. Each person carries around some undigested weight. By using a detox diet, you can quickly flush out of your system all those pounds, lose a lot of weight fast and be ready for the next step of the process. This detox phase takes 10 days tops and you will see a great reduction in your weight. I suggest using the Master Cleanse detox diet (I provide a link to a review of this diet at the end of this article so read the whole thing through).

After you finish with the detox diet, you should take a few days to a week off any dieting and eat regularly (but healthy). Then the next phase of your process to lose 60 lbs in 3 months will commence. In this phase you will choose one of 2 courses:

1. Follow a Calorie Shifting diet (namely the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet)
2. Follow a fitness oriented fat loss program (I suggest the Turbulence Training program)

Again, I provide a link to a review of all these 3 programs at the end of the article so you can read more about each of them.

You should follow either of these 2 programs for 2 months. These will provide a slower weight loss rate than the Master Cleanse, but they’re more healthy to use for a long time straight. They should bring you closer to achieving your goal of losing 60 pounds in 3 months.

About 10 days before your 3 months are over, you should go on the Master Cleanse again to give your body the final push it needs to shed the last of those 60 pounds. If you do everything right, you have a good chance to lose 60 pounds in 3 months.

Ducati dream machine

IMAGINE owning a superbike that punts out a massive 168bhp of raw V-Twin power with 97lb/ft of torque.

Now imagine hitting a corner apex and whacking that throttle open as hard as you can. Now imagine that instead of history’s biggest highside, you’re greeted by a gripping tyre that propels you out of the corner and into the distance, in a way that no other production superbike could ever manage, just like you were some kind of Casey Stoner riding clone.

You’ve just imagined riding the brand new toy from the land of Spaghetti and red dream machines - Ducati’s 1198 S.

It was only two years ago that Ducati brought out three versions of its stunning new superbike, the 1098. The £12,000 base model, the £14,000 higher-spec S, and the £24,000 World Superbike-derived, all-singing all-dancing R version. Of course, there’s also the £40,000 MotoGP-derived Desmosedici RR but that’s an altogether different kettle of fish.

Now Ducati has updated its flagship by giving the 90° V-twin Testastretta Evoluzione engine 100cc more and fitting it into two versions of 1198, the base-model Biposto (that’s two-seater in Italian), and higher-spec S.

The engine’s increased bore and stroke brings capacity up to the 1,200cc limit for V-twins in the World Superbike championship, which Troy Bayliss won in 2008 racing the 1098. The 1198’s improved engine also gets new crankcases and bigger valves, all of which increases maximum power by 10bhp all the way across the rev range, and boosts torque.

But the high-tech gadget that lets you use every last drop of that performance is the Ducati Traction Control (DTC) fitted to the 1198 S.

Much has been written about the way 2007 MotoGP champion Casey Stoner rides his Ducati - how he whacks the throttle open from the apex, letting the bike’s electronics control the power and torque output to secure grip. This is exactly what the 1198 S’s DTC does, but on a production machine. This MotoGP-derived technology has the ability to turn a ham fisted throttle jockey into a riding sensation.

DTC was initially fitted to the 1098 R, but ironically this first production version of the technology could only be used on race bikes (which the R is). That older system destroys catalytic converters by dumping fuel into the exhausts when a reduction in torque is required. But the new system cuts off the fuel supply rather than the spark that ignites the fuel, so the catalytic converters aren’t affected. And that’s got to be more environmentally friendly too.

But the 1198 S is not just about corner exits. It’s also about the way it flies down the straights at warp speed with a delicious Ducati drone emanating from the exhausts, the way it turns fluidly into corners, the way it handles like a dream.

Ferrari values succumb to recession

Buyers cautious as prestigious Italian cars struggle to sell at auction.
By Paul Hudson

Desirable Ferraris have usually been considered less vulnerable to the vicissitudes of the world’s financial markets than most other marques, but car collectors kept their hands firmly in their pockets at last weekend’s Bonhams sale of Ferraris and associated memorabilia in Gstaad.

Many of the star lots failed to reach their estimates and were consequently not sold, although most of the more affordable lots found buyers. Even then, they struggled to achieve the lower end of their estimated prices.

The annual ‘Ferrari et les Prestigieuses Italiennes’ auction at Gstaad featured a host of not only desirable but seminal Ferraris for sale, most notably a 1955 121LM Spyder Corsa that competed in the 1955 Le Mans 24 Hours and that year’s Mille Miglia road race in the hands of Phil Hill, Eugenio Castellotti, Umberto Maglioli and Carroll Shelby. It was estimated at £2,808,450 to £3,945,000 but the price for one of the most collectible competition Ferraris to emerge on the open market for many years was apparently too steep as buyers responded to current financial woes with extreme caution.

An immaculate, 192 F40 also failed to sell, as did the 1951 212 Export Spider that came third overall in the 1951 Mille Miglia.

A 1967 275GTB/4, estimated at £717,000 to £836,000, had reached only £595,000 before the hammer fell.

The Ferrari ‘Daytona’ (proper name the 365GTB/4) coupe has been fetching high prices but one of the examples at Gstaad, one of only 530 Series 1 cars and estimated at £232,800 to £268,600, failed to sell.
